Delete your account

You can delete your PlushieCare account and its data at any time.

In the app

Open PlushieCare, open the menu, then Your data, then Delete account, and confirm twice. Your account is deleted straight away.

Without the app

Email support@plushiecare.com with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address you sign in with. You don't need to reinstall the app. We'll confirm by email once it's done, within 30 days and usually much sooner.

What is deleted

Everything linked to your account: your sign-in, profile, name and birthday, goals and check-offs, moods and reflections, breathing sessions, trips, souvenirs, plushies, badges, balances, friends, invites and the activity log.

What is kept, and for how long

• Crash reports already sent to Sentry may remain for up to 90 days. They carry an account id only, never your goals, moods or reflections.
• Database backups held by our database provider roll over on their backup cycle, after which your data is gone from them too.
• Safety reports and our admin log: if someone reported you, or we acted on your account, the report (with the name you had then) and our admin log are kept for 24 months, so we can keep PlushieCare safe.
• Usage events (sent while Usage data was on) are deleted from PostHog together with your account. Google Analytics never knew your account (only a random id for this install, which the app forgets when you delete), so its counts cannot be traced back to you and expire on Google's schedule, at most 14 months.
